A great weekend

well it has been an exciting and eventful weekend.  Went to a couple races this weekend. Friday night, Brian(my brother), Larry(my dad), went to the truck race Friday night out at orp. it was hot, humid night, but it was a blast.  Ron Hornaday won the race.  No one could catch him all night.
Sunday Brian, Chad(Brian's step-son), Cason(Chad's son), and i went to watch the brickyard 400.  The day started out nice, cool, and breezy.  The sun soon came out to begin the baking, and cooking of the thousands of unwitting hunks of meat.  Some fought back with sunscreen, while others tried to fight the red hot ball of gas with shade, using umbrellas, and towels, and the such, to shield themselves.  Kyle bush wrecked on the first lap so my day started out wonderful.  Juan Pablo dominated the race, much like he did last year.  Once again the gremlins of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, denied him his much earned, and deserved victory.  We had a great time and I really look forward to doing it again.
The weekend was long , but a blast.  I had a really good time, as i hope those that experienced it with me, did.  Well not much more to write, for my brain is really tired and ready for some rest.  Be cool and be careful.  GOD Bless.

Another day in life of.......

Well, hello there.  It's been a few days since i last wrote.  we've been pretty busy with things.  Everything is going well and looks to keep rolling along at that pace.  Crystal finally got done with her inventory at work.  She worked alot of hours that week.  It really wore her out.
My aunt Rose isn't doing any better.  I think the end is near.  I just hope she goes while in her sleep as to not have a painful end.  She has began to pass blood and the hospice nurse told my cousin that anyone that wanted to see her should do so really soon.  I wish i could've got down there this past weekend, but funds just didn't allow it.  Shelb and Ed got to go down this past weekend.  they said she looks fine but she's not doing good.
Mom and Dad had Christian's first birthday party on Saturday.  He had such a good time eating his cake.  I think it's cool for the stores to give a baby their first cake just for them.  of course, not all of his gifts were toys.  I think he got a few outfits.  I know he got some new shoes.  He is just so funny to watch.  He's starting to walk.  he took 5 steps for me yesterday.  He trys so hard to talk.  He just can't get the words to come out like he trys to.
Well gonna get outta here for now.  Gonna go play some poker on facebook.  facebook.com/turp415  You should look me up.  Be cool and be careful.  GOD bless.

Rainy day at home.

Well, nothing really exciting today.  It's raining , and I don't much care for rain.  My nephew, Matt,  is here with me today.  His mother, Sue, asked me to watch him while she works.  Matt's playing with the xbox360 and I'm, as usual, surfing the net.
My aunt Rose isn't doing to good.  She has forgotten how to use her cell phone.  She gets frustrated easy nowadays.  A couple of my aunts went down to visit this past weekend. They have called to let me and dad know how she is doing.  Dad want to try to get back down there and take the boys, Jeremiah and Christian, down to see her.  My Cousin just called to ell us that the nurse told her to call in the family, because it won't be long.  The brain tumor is progressing faster than they thought.  Not much more to say about that, it leaves me speechless.  It just happened so fast.  Tell those that are important in your life how much they matter and how you feel.  They can be gone so fast.
Crystal is working today.  She's off tomorrow.  She works so  hard.  She made dept mgr pretty quick.  She is very experienced in her dept.  Sometimes after a hard day, when she's ready for bed early, i give her about an hour and then i go in and lay beside her and just watch her sleep.  She doesn't know, but she seems so peaceful while she's sleeping.  She has turned into a beautiful, intelligent, strong woman.  I love her dearly, and she is my rock.  She is my night and day.
Well not much else to say.  Oh, I do go bowling tonite.  Casino league is tonite.  It's a pretty fun league.  Well going to call it a day.  Be cool and be careful.  GOD Bless.

Knoxville, TN

Well we got into Knoxville about 10:30 pm.  The hotel was having connectivity problems with their main office so they had no record of my reservation.  luckily with a little patience and a few phone calls it was taken acre of and i got to lay down after a 6 hour drive.  The trip wouldn't be so bad if it weren't for the degenerative disk disease.  I think it's getting worse. I'm gonna ask the doctor if maybe he thinks it might be time for another MRI.  It's been a couple years.
We went over to see my Aunt Rose today.  I scares the hell out of me to think that a person can go from completely independent, to having to have help doing everything, even sitting up in bed.  I don't know how fast the tumor in her brain will continue to grow.  Teresa, my cousin, said that the doctors didn't give her any kind of time frame or rate to expect.  They don't even know what kind of symptoms, or affects to expect.  I will continue to pray for Rose and her children.  They have to be extremely strong to deal with the tragedies that has happened in the last couple of years.
We will get up and visit with rose in the morning and then head to Corbin to visit with my wife's family.  It's been a couple years since my wife has seen her parents.  That won't happen again.  We just got busy with the move and getting our feet on the ground.  I didn't realize it had been that long since she had last seen her parents.
Well i think I'm going to call it night.  Be cool and be careful.  GOD bless.

15 Years Today

Today is my 15th wedding anniversary.  My wife, Crystal, is my best friend.  We have a wonderful relationship.  We talk daily about our experiences and daily happenings.  She is a very strong and independent woman.  Crystal has been right by my side through good times and bad. She is my sun and my moon.

My aunt Rose has been sent home.  She elected to not have the surgery to remove a grapefruit sized tumor from the left side of her brain.  I don't blame her, the doctors told her that she would be on kemo and radiation for the rest of her life.  I know I wouldn't want to spend my last days going to get shot with radiation.  She is a wonderful woman, aunt, and mother.  She has impacted my life greatly.  I really enjoyed the time she lived with my wife and I.
I am looking forward to this weekend.  We are taking a trip to Knoxville, Tn.  That's where Rose lives, with her daughter, Teresa.  Teresa is more like a sister than a cousin.  She is married to a good guy, Tim.
Well I could go on and on and on, but I will call it a day for now.  I may be back a little later today with some thoughts or experiences.  Be cool and be careful.  God bless.
